Meet Dr. Grant MacColl
It is an absolute privilege to be a part of this specialty. It is rewarding and every bit as exciting now as the day I graduated. The technical aspects of orthodontics are very engaging and compelling, but it is the interpersonal relationships that I develop with my patients that always stay in my mind and in my heart, and those are what inspire me to be the best that I can be. — Dr. Grant A. MacColl
Dr. MacColl was moved to go into the oral healthcare field by his grandfather, who practiced dentistry for 60 years. Witnessing his grandfather’s ability to alleviate pain, rebuild oral health, and restore a patient’s self-confidence, all while developing close relationships with his patients, helped Dr. MacColl to decide early on that orthodontics was right for him.
For 25 years, Dr. MacColl has been helping his orthodontic patients achieve healthy, beautiful smiles. He seeks, with each patient, to get to know them as an individual, with diverse backgrounds and unique interests. The exchanges he has every day, with those he cares for and treats, mean he comes into the office looking forward to the day ahead.
He particularly enjoys being a part of people’s lives at a life stage that is so dynamic and exciting, watching their personalities emerge and mature, and their confidence grow, as their new smile nears completion. Dr. MacColl believes in making every aspect of a patient’s experience in the practice a positive one and ensures that each person is treated with respect, compassion, and empathy, as he would wish to be treated.
Education and Continuing Education
Dr. MacColl attended the University of Toronto, where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery and his orthodontic specialty. Each year he participates in continuing education offerings, in order to broaden his knowledge of developing orthodontia-related technologies, processes, and procedures.
